The type of furniture series is selected based on the nature of work, type of laboratory and budgetary allocations.

BASIQUE SERIES

Basique series offers a system which is most economical. All the cabinets are floor mounted and the worktop is directly supported by the cabinets and panels. No additional frame work support is required in this series. This system offers greater more storage space but flexibility is limited. The Basique series is normally preferred in educational laboratories.

ROBUSTE SERIES

Robuste series is designed for heavier loads. For laboratories with heavy equipments the work tops are placed on metal frames. The frames are arranged vertically and horizontally to give direct support to the worktop. The cabinets are placed on the horizontal supports of the frame work. The work benches are extremely sturdy and stable. The Robuste series is preferred in industries where heavy equipments are used.

ELASTIQUE SERIES

Elastique series is used where flexible movement of cabinets is required. Worktops are mounted on cantilever or ‘C’ frames in Elastique series. It also enables easy access for the plumbing, gas, electrical or any other service connections. Under bench cupboards are mobile or suspended and installed off the floor, which facilitates easy cleaning as well. This series provides great flexibility to the user and clear access to the floor space. The “C’ frames are supplied with height adjustable leveling jacks to attain perfect balance of the work bench. Units can be added or removed if basic needs change, without altering the basic superstructure.

COMBINATION SERIES

The above systems can be mixed to suit the needs of each individual laboratory. This would provide an ideal laboratory standard for deriving optimum benefit for the work place.

The furniture system to be used can be selected considering the nature of industry need, storage and space requirements, at the same time considering future additions or changes. It offers the user optimum ease of use and stability. The selection of the type of cabinet must be based on the type of lab work to suit the nature of industry, budget, durability of the lab and long term plans of the organization.

Fume cupboards are enclosures designed for work with hazardous and toxic chemicals capturing the harmful gases, fumes and vapors generated inside and exhausting them to the outside air.

A typical fume cupboard is a cabinet with a movable front sash made out of safety glass with a properly connected exhaust system. It is intended to provide adequate protection to workers who conduct experiments or manufacturing within the fume cupboard.

TFI manufactures multipurpose fume cupboards for industrial, research and educational purposes. We offer CAV and VAV system fume cupboards with different models. TFI offers Ducted and Ductless type of Fume cupboards with varying sizes to suit individual requirements.
